Privacy Policy

What we keep

When you make an account and use Home Tutor, we keep:

• Your account details: your name, your email address, and your sign-in details.
• Students you add: first name, age if you enter it, an avatar color, and any notes you write about needs or preferences.
• Activity records: which activities were finished, the date, the subject, stars earned, how independently the student did, and any notes you write.
• Schedules: the activities you plan for each day of the week.
• Rewards: the rewards you create, what they cost in stars, and how many times they were used.

What we do not collect

• We do not sell your information.
• We do not show ads.
• Home Tutor does not ask for photos, your location, your contacts, or payment card numbers.
• Please do not type health records, ID numbers, or other private details into the notes boxes.

Who can see it

• You. The students, schedules, rewards, and activity records you create are tied to your account. Other families cannot see them.
• Anyone you share your sign-in with, or who uses your device while you are signed in.
• A small number of MyKey Consulting Services LLC administrators, only when needed to give support, fix a problem, or keep the app safe.
• Our hosting provider, described below, which stores the information for us.
• We may share information if the law requires it.

What stays on your device

Your browser keeps a small sign-in record on your device so you stay signed in.

The Family Toolkit edition of Home Tutor (the Homework Planner, Study Timer, Learning Check-In, and Subject Goals) needs no account. What you type there is saved only in the browser on your device. It is not sent to us. If you clear your browser data, it is gone.

Outside services we use

Home Tutor does not use any other outside service for your information.

• Base44. Base44 hosts the app, stores the database, and runs sign-in. It receives everything listed under What we keep, plus basic technical details such as your browser type and internet address.
• Google, only if you choose Continue with Google. Google confirms who you are and sends us your name and email address. We do not receive your Google password.

Ways to sign in

• Email and password. Your password is handled by the sign-in system. We cannot see it.
• Google. You sign in with your Google account.
• If you forget your password, you can reset it by email.

How to have information removed

You can edit or delete students, schedules, and rewards inside the app at any time.

To have your account and all of its information removed, or to ask for a copy of it, email hello@mykeyplans.com from the email address on your account. We will reply and complete the request within 30 days.

We keep your information for as long as your account is open.

Children under 13

Accounts are for adults. A parent or guardian sets up and manages the account for any child under 13. Children under 13 should not make their own account.

The parent or guardian decides what is entered about the child and can change or remove it at any time. If you believe a child under 13 made an account without a parent or guardian, email hello@mykeyplans.com and we will remove it.

Keeping information safe

Information is sent over a secure connection, and each account can only read its own records. No online service can promise perfect security. Please use a strong password and keep it private.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If the change is a big one, we will also tell you in the app or by email.
